It also has a synchronization capability so that all your computer can share the same set of notes, but I always forget to configure it. Mesh can help me with that now so it's not as big of a deal...

Thanks for sharing these cool tools!
RE: Enhancing Desktop Computing with the Cloudhttp://simpable.com/software/cloudtop/#comment-306Thu, 15 May 2008 13:45:42 GMThttp://simpable.com/software/cloudtop/#comment-306Anderson Imes
I've been using a lot of the Live tools - live mesh, live skydrive, etc. Its nice to know the pictures of my kids are safe and available in the cloud. Now with live mesh I don't have to manually upload.
RE: Enhancing Desktop Computing with the Cloudhttp://simpable.com/software/cloudtop/#comment-305Thu, 15 May 2008 13:26:35 GMThttp://simpable.com/software/cloudtop/#comment-305Derek Morrison
"Although I guess Jing is a bit less interesting."

Rob, while I know it's important that apps using online resources consider offline usage, for many of them (including Jing, a Twitter client, or even to some degree a pure email client), offline usage doesn't make much sense.
RE: Enhancing Desktop Computing with the Cloudhttp://simpable.com/software/cloudtop/#comment-304Thu, 15 May 2008 12:41:17 GMThttp://simpable.com/software/cloudtop/#comment-304Scott Watermasysk
All of them work great disconnected. Can you take it with you? Can you take the apps offline?

My reservation with anything "cloud" is losing my information if they are offline or close the virtual doors.
RE: Life on a Mac - Five Months Laterhttp://simpable.com/software/mac-five-months/#comment-302Thu, 15 May 2008 12:31:07 GMThttp://simpable.com/software/mac-five-months/#comment-302Enhancing Desktop Computing with the Cloud
There is a lot of (rightfully so) hype around cloud computing and web based tools.
