Graffiti Links
Graffiti Beta 1 was released last Wednesday. So far, the response has been awesome. There have been some minor bugs, but most have already been resolved. We are getting ready to add couple of additional features and looking to ship V1 very soon. The main Graffiti site and blog should be launched soon, but in the mean time, I wanted to point out what some others are saying (and doing) with beta 1.
- Rich Mercer (Telligent employee) has already released a couple of themes (which are in the beta downlaod) and a plugin for redirect Community Server links
- Andrew Tobin has posted an example on using Disqus and has given a small overview of Chalk
- Karthik Hariharan (Telligent employee) posted a nice overview of converting a theme from Wordpress to Graffiti. While I like Karthik's organization, his theme could have easily been completed using the three required Graffiti views and made things even simpler!
- Muhammad Suhada wrote a really good overview of the Graffiti control panel.
If you have downloaded Graffiti and have any feedback, feel free to leave a comment below or send me an email (scottw@telligent.com). I would love to hear what you like/don't like and what you think we could do bette.

I have downloaded Graffiti and set it up with no problems at all. I am setting up a new web site with it, including a custom theme using the Access database option.
So far, works great. I have no problems at all and plan to use future betas and releases.
I plan on creating some blog posts on the process as I have something tangible to show.

Any plans to support integrated mode?
As another question, how would you like further bugs. Do you mind multiple bugs per email or would you prefer to keep each bug to it's own email.

One thing I noticed after posting that comment - There's nothing to confirm that your comment was saved. The page doesn't even refresh so people can see their comment's been posted, meaning people may end up posting comments multiple times

@Alex
Yes, feel free to email multiple bugs.
Thanks.

I've played a little with the beta and I think it's great. Can you talk at all about (or point me to) licensing info? Will there be multiple editions like there are for CS? Will any be free (personal sites, clubs, etc.)? Can you give an approximate price range, if not exact?
Thanks much.

@Scott
We are still working on finalizing the pricing, but I can tell you we will absolutely have a free version.
Thanks,
Scott

Care to (or have time to) expand just a bit on the comment you made about converting WP themes to Graffiti (his theme could have easily been completed using the three required Graffiti views and made things even simpler)?
Thanks.

Hi Keith,
What I meant is Karthik took the more developer route and isolated pieces of his views to the files smaller and more readable.
He could have put his header/etc in his layout.view file and skipped loading external views.
All Graffiti requires when it comes to themes are three files: layout.view, index.view, and post.view. Everything else is up to the designer.
Thanks,
Scott

Any plans on making it a medium trust app, so that I could run it on GoDaddy? My only other option over there is BlogEngine.NET.
I would much rather be running Graffiti
Thanks,
Chris

Hi Chris,
We have a new provider (VistaDB) which does work under medium trust.
We also have a provider for SQL Server which should work under medium trust.
